DB&A/Kairos: A Strong Relationship Working for You

DB&A works closely with you and Kairos, providing a variety of services. As part of the Kairos team, DB&A can help you become more involved with large gift prospects and active solication for "creative giving" options. We offer computer "modeling" of giving options to help determine their impact on a major fund appeal. We can also provide you with several creative giving seminars you can offer to prospective donors, to your church or other organization. Our goal is to provide your congregation or organization the services you need to enhance your work and expand your ministry.

A Creative Approach to Giving

Sometimes we call it "creative giving." Your success relies not only on outright gifts (those made available for immediate use) but also on future gifts, which commonly take the form of bequests, charitable gift annuities and trusts. Whatever the gift, there may be more "creative" options for planned giving than the donor knows - options that may be structured to meet the needs of both donor and congregation or organization.

How Can We Help You?

Let DB&A be your planned giving experts. As an affiliate of the Kairos team, we offer these services: Foundation Development and Support DB&A will work with you as you establish your foundation, providing sample documentation, policies and procedures, and more to set you on the right track for receiving current and future gifts.

Marketing Materials

We can assist you in the development of publications, quarterly mailings, "coupons" to encourage charitable giving, and other marketing materials to maximize the impact of your appeal.

Creative Giving Seminars

These presentations are tailored to prospective donors, board and committee members, staff and allied professionals to provide specific, easy-to-understand information about gift options and how they work. Each seminar includes slides and corresponding printed materials for participants. We also offer a package that can be readily adapted by your organizational staff to provide future seminars on your own.

Gift Solication and Follow-Up

Typically, seminars and other work are followed by donor contact and solicitation, either through "round table" small-group gatherings or one-on-one consultations. DB&A can conduct group seminars, then follow up with individual participants. We can also provide individual consultation with donor and organization to put together an appropriate giving option.

Proposal Development

Dealing with the larger gifts of a major fund appeal can become a complex, sometimes daunting, process. DB&A provides you computer "modeling" of gift options and their impact on your success. We also help you coordinate legal and other services you and the donor need to develop a complete and successful campaign.

Continuing Education

As your appeal moves ahead, it's important that your staff join us as donor contacts are made. One-on-one visits with prospective donors offer the ideal hands-on, "around-the-kitchen-table" seminar. Your staff isencouraged to accompany DB&A on visits to learn more about the giving process. Not only does this strengthen your staff's relationship with donors, but it also nurtures the professional growth and confidence of your staff as they undertake the continuing responsibilities of a major appeal.

Determining Priorities

Early work in your appeal will lead to numerous lists of contacts. DB&A can help you sort through the empirical data and identify those who are most likely to generate significant gifts on your behalf. This process helps ensure that the appropriate resources are being used in the areas of greatest potential.

Direct Availability

Before and during your major appeal, DB&A becomes a part of your congregational or organizational team. We are available for continuing support by the phone, via e-mail and fax, and on site, as determined by prior agreement. Please let us know how we might best contribute to our mutual success.
